Lands of Lleida
An open-air museum
The Lands of Lleida will surprise you with the diversity of their tourism proposals, which visitors can share with their family, friends or partner. The landscapes of the plain are criss-crossed by a thousand-and-one charming routes, which include: the Castles of Sió Route, the Wine Route, the Cistercian Route and the Lake Train, (a tourist railway that connects Lleida’s provincial capital and the pre-Pyrenees). And lovers of astronomy and cultural and scientific tourism really should not miss the Centre for Observing the Universe (COU).
Lleida is an open, friendly, city whose monumental legacy includes the magnificent La Seu Vella cathedral and the unique Knights Templar complex of Gardeny. These historic sites coexist with examples of strikingly modern infrastructure such as the Lleida-Alguaire airport and La Llotja: a congress and conference centre which is perfect for both professional meetings and major shows and exhibitions.
Festivals and age-old traditions, natural settings which are ideal for lovers of ornithology, and a gastronomy based on natural products are just a few of the attractions of a territory in which visitors will be seduced by the warm welcome of the local people and the chance to discover truly unique settlements that are full of character!
