Puig i Cadafalch Modernist route

This route allows to know the modernist legacy that the architect left in Mataró, his hometown, and in Argentona, where he was studying.

The industrialization of the region and its status as summer vacation center of the Barcelona and Catalan bourgeois turned El Maresme into a territory rich in Modernist architecture, linked to the early work of the most important architects of that movement: Lluís Domènech i Montaner (Canet de Mar), Josep Puig i Cadafalch (Mataró and Argentona) and Antoni Gaudí (Mataró and Alella).
