A rural country house is a tourist accommodation establishment that, in Catalonia, is distributed in four modalities:
- masia
- masoveria
- shared village house
- independent village house
The rural tourism establishments are located in the rural environment, isolated or in population centers of less than 2000 inhabitants, integrated in pre-existing buildings before 1957, respect the architectural typology of the area and comply with the requirement of tranquility and integration into the landscape.
